Rehab One activity treatment is delivered and is aligned with the publication “Improving Outcomes: Integrated, active management of workers with soft injury tissues released by WorkCover, May 2008.
This publication advice promotes that referral for work related activity treatment can be indicated by the following:
- Insufficient suitable duties at the workplace to meet the worker’s total activity needs through the return to work plan.
- Worker’s injury has been appropriately assessed and managed in the acute period.
- Worker’s injury is now in the sub-acute phase (4-12 weeks post injury) and they are not working pre injury duties and hours.
- Worker has yellow flags/psychosocial barriers and/or delayed recovery.
- Activity levels are not progressing and/or fluctuate widely.

Yes - Employers, Insurers, Rehab Providers and Physiotherapist can refer directly.
No - once you have made a referral our friendly support staff will contact the insurer for you. You will be notified as soon as the insurer gives approval and treatment commences.
No - Once you have made a referral, a physiotherapist will contact the nominated treating doctor to request approval for you and will gain medical clearance to commence activity treatment. You will be notified as soon as the approval is received.
