Physiotherapy Work Conditioning Services

Rehab One's initial assessment of the injured worker are completed by a fully trained and qualified physiotherapist. This is the first step to determine whether the injured worker is suitable for a program and identify and prioritise the most critical barriers to returning to work.

Physiotherapists are trained to identify, diagnose and treat injuries and establish a graded activity treatment that is suitable to ensure a safe return-to-work, minimising symptom aggravation and flare-ups which can delay the return-to-work process. The research clearly outlines that these are critical components to successful return-to-work rates.

Rehab One has designed a variety of Work-Related-Activity Programs (work conditioning programs) which have been developed using evidence-based principles to achieve return-to-work and upgrade outcomes.

These Work-Related-Activity Programs are prescribed and supervised by physiotherapists with the aim of providing reassurance, education and upgrading home/work activity levels. They encourage and support the injured worker to remain active and to be positive about their prognosis and ability to return-to-work using a cognitive behavioural approach.

There is a variety of flexible Rehab One Work-Related-Activity Programs available. The assessing physiotherapist will select and recommend the program that will provide the most appropriate level of treatment for a diverse range of injuries and return-to-work barriers to achieve the best work outcome.

The programs will be conducted in a professional gym environment using a range of equipment and treatment strategies to progressively mobilise, strengthen the injured worker’s capacity, and improve their confidence to return to their pre-injury duties.
